I am an computer science Ph.D candidate at the University of Florida, advised by Patrick Traynor.  Our lab is the Florida Institute for Cybersecurity Research (FICS).  I am also the CTO of University of Florida's first security startup, CryptoDrop, which is based on my ransomware research.  My work on payment systems security and ransomware has been featured in The New York Times, Washington Post, Forbes, and numerous other media outlets.

Previously, I was a Technical Expert at Walmart where I led the design and implementation of endpoint security technologies across thousands of global sites. Later, I joined the Security Operations Center, refined the group’s internal development processes, and developed strategies for ingesting new security data.
