I am an computer science Ph.D candidate at the University of Florida, advised by Patrick Traynor. Our lab is the Florida Institute for Cybersecurity Research (FICS). I am also a co-founder and officer of University of Florida’s first two security startups, CryptoDrop and Skim Reaper, both based on my research. My research addresses fundamental weaknesses in systems and networks; my recent work on payment systems security and ransomware has been covered by the Associated Press, Forbes, and numerous other media outlets.
Previously, I was a Technical Expert at Walmart where I led the design and implementation of endpoint security technologies across thousands of global sites. Later, I joined the Security Operations Center, refined the group’s internal development processes, and developed strategies for ingesting new security data.
